Rhode Island’s Own Billionaire Makes Forbes List with a net worth of $3.1 Billion dollars
Every year, Forbes releases its annual list of the wealthiest Americans and this year’s list includes Rhode Islander Jonathan Nelson. Mr. Nelson is the founder and executive chairman of Providence Equity Partners and his net worth is an impressive $3.1 billion. This is up from $2 billion last year and it landed him at number 351 on the list.
While the top spot on the list went to Elon Musk with a net worth of $177 billion, Jeff Bezos took second place with $115 billion, followed by Bill Gates in third with $104 billion. But it’s always nice to see someone from our little state represented among the ranks of America’s billionaires! Congratulations, Jonathan Nelson!
